SureLC - How to Purchase New or Renew an Existing E&O Policy through CalSurance

Whether you are looking to purchase a new E&O policy or want to renew an existing policy through CalSurance this article has you covered. If you've purchased an E&O policy and need to renew your existing policy there are several ways to navigate the renewal process depending on how your SureLC profile is set up with your agency. Any of the following methods can be used to either purchase a new policy or renew an existing policy. 

 

 

 

How to Purchase a New Policy from your SureLC Profile  

If you don't have an E&O policy and would like to purchase one through CalSurance, you may be able to do this through your SureLC profile. When this option is available in your SureLC profile you can choose to purchase a policy from the E&O insurance page (in the Buy New E&O Policy section). If this option is not available you can alternatively go directly to the CalSurance website and purchase the policy from there. To purchase a new policy via your SureLC profile follow these steps: 

  • Log in to your SureLC Profile and navigate to the E&O insurance page. Select the BUY E&O POLICY button to begin. If you're not sure how to login to your SureLC profile click here

  • Pick your plan and select your preferred payment method. Click Next to continue.

  • Answer ALL of the coverage information questions in the top section. Next, review and update your contact information to make sure it's current. Click Next to continue.

  • Review and answer ALL background questions, then select NEXT to continue.

  • Review the disclosure, then select the AGREE AND APPLY button to affirm and continue.

  • Enter your billing and credit card information. Please note the billing name MUST match the name of the person the E&O policy is being purchased for. Select the Pay button to continue.

  • Once your payment is successfully processed you'll see the following confirmation message.

  • After 30 minutes you'll receive an email from eno@surancebay.com with your E&O policy information, and a copy of the E&O certificate attached as a .pdf.

How to Purchase a New Policy Directly from the CalSurance Website

Please note: If you don't already have a SureLC profile, and you are NOT a member of the SuranceBay Agent Group E&O program, you'll first need to join the free program by clicking JOIN NOW. If you already have a SureLC account or are a member of the agent E&O program you can skip this step.

  • It's easy to join the E&O program and only take a moment. Enter the required information highlighted below and click JOIN NOW to create your account.

How to Purchase a New E&O Policy 

  • Choose the product combination needed.

  • Choose the preferred Plan based on the products you sell along with your preferred payment option.

  • Enter your resident license number, resident license state, and date of birth to identify yourself. Click SIGN IN to continue.

  • Answer ALL of the coverage information questions in the top section. Next, review and update your contact information to make sure it's current. Click Next to continue.

  • Review and answer ALL background questions, then select NEXT to continue.

  • Enter your billing and credit card information. Please note the billing name MUST match the name on the credit card used for payment (and the name of the person the E&O policy is being purchased for).  Select the PAY button to continue.

  • Once your payment is successfully processed you'll see the following confirmation message.

  • After 30 minutes you'll receive an email from eno@surancebay.com with your E&O policy information.

  • Your E&O policy certificate will also be attached to the email as a .pdf file. Open the attachment to view the policy and to save a local copy to your computer.

How to Renew your Policy from the Renewal Reminder Email 

If you received an email stating that your E&O policy is about to expire, you can start the renewal process by selecting your plan right in the email.  Please note if E&O renewal reminders aren't enabled for your account you will have to go directly to the CalSurance website to renew your E&O insurance policy (which is explained in the next section). To start the renewal process from the email do the following: 

  • Review your coverage options and then choose your plan by selecting the BUY E&O button.

  • Follow instructions on each additional screen and then pay the renewal fee to complete your E&O policy renewal.   
  • Once the order is completed, a confirmation message will be shown and your updated E&O policy information will be emailed to you within 30 minutes along with a pdf attachment of the declaration page. 
  • Your SureLC profile will be updated automatically with your new E&O policy information.

How to Renew your Policy Directly from the CalSurance Website
