This article explains how to discard or recover a previously discarded contract request for a producer. Review each section below to learn how.
Discarding a Contract Request
At times, an agency worker or producer may start the process of requesting a carrier contract, but for one reason or another, will want to discard the request before it's processed. To discard a pending contract request do the following:
1) From the Producers page, locate the producer from the list. Select the actions button at the end of the row and then View Contracting Requests.
2) Locate the carrier contract you would like to discard and then select the Actions Button at the end of the row. Next, select Change Stage.
3) Use the Stage menu and change the stage to Discarded. Next, Add a comment to explain why the contract request is being discarded for reference. If you don't want the producer to see the comment, check the "Set as Internal Note" checkbox. Finally, click Save to discard the request.
To see a producer's list of Discarded contract requests, change the Stage Filter to Discarded.
Recovering a Discarded Contract Request
1) From the Producers page, locate the producer from the list. Select the actions button at the end of the row and then View Contracting Requests.
2) Select the Stage filter and then choose Discarded. Next, select the Actions button at the end of the row followed by Recover.
3) Once recovered, the carrier contract request will be moved back to the active contracts list. To get back to the Producer's open contracting requests, change the stage filter to All Active or to the stage the recovered contract was at (such as BGA).
