Producer Signatures

Anatole T. -

SuranceBay frequently receives inquiries related to producer's signatures used within SureLC.  This article will cover the following topics:

            - Option 1 - Sign Online From the SCAN Tab

            - Option 2 - Print, Sign, Scan/Fax, Upload

PRODUCERS COMPLETING THEIR SIGNATURE ONLINE

Producers who access your agency's SureLC-Web specific link can complete their signature online and remain completing paperless if they want to. When the producer is logged in to their SureLC account associated with your agency, the producer can complete their signature on the SCAN Tab within their profile.

Option 1 - Sign Online From the SCAN Tab

On the SCAN Tab, the producer can click on the "Signature Capture" button, as shown below.

Next, the producer must review the Signature Authorization Page, and then click on the Accept button:

Upon Clicking the Accept button, the producer will then need to click on the Add Signature button:

Next - hold down the left mouse button and draw your signature with your mouse, then click on the Done button:

Option 2 - Print, Sign, Scan/Fax, Upload

As an alternative to Option 1 above, producers can click on the "Forms" button, and then select to "Print" the Signature Authorization Page. Upon printing out the page, the producer can either upload a scanned copy with their signature, or fax directly to your agency for agency workers to upload on behalf of the producer.

DARKEN THE PRODUCER'S SIGNATURE IMAGE

When you upload a Signature Authorization Page from one of your producers, it may be necessary for you to manually DARKEN the producer's signature image in order for the image to show up appropriately on carriers' contracting PDF forms. Please follow the steps below in order to darken/enhance the producer's signature image.

Step 1

Click on the Signature Image icon within the producer's SCAN Tab.

Step 2

Click on the Edit/Enhance button.

Step 3

Click on the "Enhance" button. You can only click the Enhance button once. If clicking only once was not enough to darken the signature to your liking, simply start the enhance process again. ****WARNING: CLICK THE ENHANCE BUTTON ONLY ENOUGH TIMES TO DARKEN THE SIGNATURE SO IT SHOWS UP LEGIBLY ON THE SCREEN. CLICKING THE ENHANCE BUTTON TOO MANY TIMES WILL BLACK OUT THE SIGNATURE COMPLETELY AND THERE IS NO WAY TO RECOVER. YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE PRODUCER AND GET ANOTHER SIGNATURE AUTHORIZATION PAGE OR THE PRODUCER WILL HAVE TO CREATE HIS/HER SIGNATURE AGAIN USING SIGNATURE CAPTURE****

Step 4

Click on the Back button to get back to the SCAN Tab. View the Signature Image, repeat steps 1-3 to Darken the Signature Image further.

MANUALLY DESIGNATING AN UPLOADED PAGE IS THE SIGNATURE PAGE

Occasionally, when you upload a producer's Signature Authorization Page, SureLC fails to recognize this page as a Signature Page. This section is dedicated to show you how you can manually designate the form type as the Signature Page.

Manual Steps for Designating Unknown Page as Signature Page

Step 1

Click on the Gear Icon next to the form type that is the Signature Page, and choose the option to Edit.
