SureLC API Access

Adam Cardew -

SuranceBay makes available our REST API 2.0, which allows authorized agencies to integrate many data elements within their SureLC account for their own purposes.

This service is offered at no charge to SuranceBay clients with a SureLC multi-carrier account. However, should your agency require any support from our IT team using this API, custom support fees may apply. API access is not available for affiliate agencies or sponsored agency accounts.

How to get started:

We need to know which admin/admins need access to create an API key. Please contact support@surancebay.com and let us know which admins need to be given access to API key management. Once we enable key management, please see "How to create a token."

REST API 2.0 Guide:

Please visit this link for the REST API 2.0 guide.

How to create a token:

Once we have given an admin the ability to generate a key, follow the instructions below.

  1. Log in to SureLC, and click on the blue circle with your initials at the top right corner, then click "Account & Settings"
  2. Click API TOKENS
  3. Click ADD TOKEN
  4. Select every option EXCEPT "FireLight Can-Sell"
  5. Click APPLY
  6. IMPORTANT: Copy and paste the token value from the pop-up box. This is the ONLY time you'll be able to see it, so make sure you save it somewhere safe.
  7. Use the saved API token value to authenticate under the new API.

Legacy REST API Support:

For agencies still using our original REST API, rest assured that we will continue to support this integration. While we encourage all clients to transition to REST API 2.0 for access to the latest features and enhancements, existing REST API integrations will remain operational.

If you have questions about your current REST API integration, need assistance with your existing setup, or would like to discuss migrating to REST API 2.0, please contact support@surancebay.com.
