Producer State Appointment Changes

Jim Friend -

The following changes will occur on <dd/mm/yyyy>.

Old Behavior - When a contract request was marked completed, an assumed state appointment record was added to the producer profile under Contracts -> Active (listed below the carrier contracts). This function was implemented many years ago when current state appointment data was not readily available.

New Behavior
- Now that all producers are subscribed to NIPR Alerts, which includes daily updates of state appointment data from NIPR, assumed state appointments are unnecessary and will not be added to the Active Contracts tab. State appointments from the NIPR database are shown on the NIPR STATE APPTS tab.

Please Note: ALL assumed state appointment records will be removed in favor of the ACTUAL state appointment data received from NIPR.

Claiming State Appointment Records

If any of the NIPR STATE APPTS shown in the producer profile are specifically related to contracts that the producer has with your agency, you can claim those records by adding the related producer contract right from the NIPR STATE APPT record. Select the + button beside the appropriate state appointment and enter the required contract information.

Once added, the contract and state appointments will be listed on the ACTIVE tab.
