How to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Jim Friend -

This article explains how to enable multi-factor authentication for your producers and/or agency admins. When enabled, producers or admins will have to set up a cell phone number to receive text messages and use it to text a security code when they log in to SureLC for added security. Once set up, an authenticator app can also be used as an alternative to text messages under user options.

To Enable Multi-factor Authentication:

Step 1: Go to SureLC.com and log in as an agency admin.

Step 2: Select "Agency Settings" (gear icon) in the navigation menu and then the "SECURITY" tab.

Step 3: Set "Requires MFA For Producers and/or Admins" to "Yes" to enable MFA for the desired user type.

Once enabled, the user type will have to set up a cell phone number during registration or, if registered, on their next login. To see what happens from the producer's point of view, click here.

For Admins with MFA enabled, once they are logged in, they can go to User Options -> Account & Settings to set up an authenticator app and answers to security questions.
