This article explains how Carrier Workers can set up commission grids for Agencies through a SuranceBay Onboard account.
Commission grids are built out on a per-agency basis and pushed out to each Agency that submits requests directly to the Insurance Carrier.
Each agency will need to have access to an administrative SureLC account. If an Agency does not currently have a SureLC account, one will need to be sponsored by the carrier to proceed with commission grid allocations. To learn more about Sponsoring Agencies, CLICK HERE.
These grid allocations not only simplify the onboarding process for Agencies but also ensure the levels prepared for their downline requests fall within the allowed guidelines.

Master Commission Grid Maintenance
Master Grids are default templates established by your Management Team. These will be used as building blocks to create specific Agency grids.
PLEASE NOTE: Only key individuals registered as "Office Managers" within your organization's Onboard account can access and maintain these grids.
To review and/or update master grid settings, select the "Master Commission Grids" tab. Templates are created for each product suite. Within each product suite, multiple grids are created for predefined levels. Examples are shown below:

Blue = Pay options (SP single pay / MP multi-pay).
Select any cell to change the percentage. Each field is manually entered in these Master settings to create templates that can be used later.
Each of the level grids is configured manually throughout each product suite.
PLEASE NOTE: As new products are established, please email support@surancebay.com requesting any new product suites be added. Please include the following details in your correspondence:

Allocating Commission Grids to an Agency
To allocate commission grids to one or more agencies, follow these steps:
- From the Setup page, select the "Agency Commission Grids" tab.
- Choose the agency from the list that you want to allocate commission grids to.
PLEASE NOTE: If the agency is not listed here, you may need to request a Sponsored Agency account. Please contact support@surancebay.com to verify.
- Product Suite - Pick the product suite checkbox.
- Level - Select the schedule level from the default templates
- Products - Choose one or more products to enable for the selected agency. In the following example, Advance 63, 64, and 65 have been selected.
- Select any custom settings as applicable:
- Allow Custom Edits - Select to allow agencies the ability to customize each field value in the commission grid. Please note this setting cannot be enabled when "Graded/Full Benefits" is enabled.
- Enable Graded/Full Benefits - When enabled, each pay option is defined separately, per product, in the grid. All cell values are manually entered before publishing to the agency and locking the fields down. Please note this setting cannot be enabled when "Custom Edits" is enabled.
- Writing Number - Enter a writing # associated with the grid settings.
- Publish - After making all desired selections within the grid, select the "Publish to Agency" button to allocate the grid to the agency's SureLC account. Grids will appear under the agency's account only after they have been published. Date and time will be recorded for each published grid. If any changes are made after publishing, you'll need to re-select the Publish button to apply the changes within the Agency's SureLC account.
- Repeat this process for additional product grids.
If you need to create multiple grids for the same product suite, use the "+ Copy" button to add up to 10 grids, with varying combinations, within the same product suite.
For example:
- 1 Grid at a straight 100% template level for products 61 & 62
- Copy #2 at a straight 90% template level for products 63, 64 & 65
- Copy #3 with Custom edits access across all products
