Agencies can use the Assistants page to add their producer assistants to SureLC providing access to carrier systems outside of SureLC. Currently, the Assistants feature is only supported by the carrier, Talcott Resolution. With the Assistants feature, agencies are responsible for creating and managing their assistants and assigning them to producer contract requests. Assistants can have personal or general roles, which determine their permissions and access to supported carrier systems. The primary purpose of the feature is to help agencies facilitate access to carrier systems without requiring them to manage their assistants' sensitive personal data, such as SSNs or DOBs. Security tokens are used for carrier authentication. Assistants DO NOT have access to SureLC itself. The feature is designed to streamline agency-to-carrier access management, rather than to provide access to SureLC.
Key Points:
- The Assistants feature is supported only by Talcott Resolution; however, this feature may be expanded to other carriers in the future.
- Adding assistants in SureLC provides access only to Talcott Resolution systems, not to SureLC.
- Assistants can be assigned to producer contracts by agency admins during contract reviews or after contract completion on the contracts tab in the producer profile.
- Assistants do not have access to SureLC and are not a SureLC admin user role.
How to Add an Assistant:
- Log in to SureLC
- Select "Assistants" in the navigation menu.
- Select the "+ Add" button on the top right.
Please note: Import can be selected to add multiple assistants at once by downloading the supported import template and later uploading it with the required information.
4. Enter the required information, which includes the assistant's Last Name, First Name, Role, Affiliation assignment, and contact information.
Roles:
Personal - Select to set up a personal assistant.
General - Select to set up an assistant with additional information, such as supported products and business channels.
Additional Options
After adding an assistant, select the actions button at the end of the row for additional options...
Edit - Select to review and update the assistant's profile information.
Replace - Select to assign the assistant's assigned contracts to another assistant.
Send security token - Select to send the security token to the assistant's email, which is required for carrier system login/authentication.
Recreate security token - Select to send a new security token to the assistant's email, replacing the existing one.
Archive - Select to archive the assistant, changing their status from active to archived, moving them to the archived list.

After adding a new assistant to SureLC, use the actions menu to generate and send a security token to their email address. The carrier will require the security token for authentication when accessing its systems.
How to Assign an Assistant during Contracting Request Review
- Open the contract request.
- Go to the Carrier Questions step of the contract review.
- Add one or more assistants to the Assistants section.
How to Assign an Assistant after Contract Completion
- Open the producer profile and go to the "Contracts" tab.
- Locate the Talcott Resolution carrier contract in the list and expand the row.
- Select "Not Assigned" in the Assistants column and select the assistant.
