Hierarchy
Use the hierarchy screen to enter the information that you want mapped to the carrier transmittal or other form which tells the carrier who will be involved with the contract at what level. Review the information below to see how to use the hierarchy screen.
1. Default - This is the default schedule. The information entered here will be loaded automatically and will be mapped to the carrier transmittal or other required form. The default is your most common schedule. The information entered here should be what's entered most of the time. By filling out the default schedule, the information entered will automatically be populated onto the carrier transmittal form saving valuable time on the hierarchy & commission step of the contract review. Please note the inforamtion entered here will be prefilled but can be edited when you get to that step within the contract review process. Use the + button to the right to add additional custom schedules. When adding a new schedule the default schedule will be copied to save time. Edit the schedule info from there.
Use the down arrow to switch between schedules.
2. Hierarchy - The information entered here will tell the carrier who will be involved with the contract and at what level. Enter the required information and that data will be mapped to the carrier transmittal form. This is the same information you would enter if you were to fill out the transmittal form manually for the carrier. Your agency will generally be placed into the hierarchy at the appropriate level along with any uplines or downlines. Make sure you enter all the required information into the appropriate fields. For the example above this would include the name, code (carrier writing code) and SSN/EIN. You can use a previously processed contract as an example of how this information was filled out in the past. If you aren't sure how to fill this out please contact SuranceBay support for assistance.
3. Strict - Select the strict check box and then click into the name field to enable the firm/producer list. When selected the name field can't be manually edited and instead you MUST choose a producer name or firm from the list.

Please note that you MUST speak in the same language as the carrier and use their commission codes. Commissions will ONLY be paid to producers who have their DBA setup as individual or business entity. For license only agents you will be entering a 0 or LOA as producers setup as LOA will not have their commissions paid by the carrier (whoever they are soliciting for will pay their commissions).
