Brighthouse Integration

Brighthouse and SuranceBay worked together to make submitting contracting paperwork even easier.  Effective August 22, 2022, all Contract and Transfer request types will be submitted directly to Brighthouse after processing the request in SureLC™.  The following carriers are included in the integration:

  • Brighthouse Life Ins Co
  • Brighthouse Life Ins Co of NY
  • Brighthouse (FIA)
  • Brighthouse (BROKER DEALER)


Contract and Transfer Requests Uploaded Electronically

Now, when you process either Contracts or Transfer requests through SureLC, you will receive the merged.pdf form in your inbox as you normally do.  However, there will now be a watermark on the PDF forms that indicate the forms have been electronically submitted to the carrier.

Contracting paperwork is electronically uploaded directly to Brighthouse on Monday-Friday at 8am ET each day.  So, upon follow-up with the carrier they should have everything to process the request the next business day after you have submitted it.

This means that you should NOT forward the paperwork (email, fax, snail mail, etc.) to the carrier - they will receive it directly from SureLC™ and they will process the request accordingly.  This is designed to streamline the process for your agency, your producers, and Brighthouse to provide a quicker turn-around and more secure process for everyone involved.

⚠️ ALERT: ALL appointment requests (Contracts & Transfers) submitted for a producer will be sent electronically for this carrier. This includes the first request along with ALL subsequent appointment requests.


Request Types NOT Uploaded Electronically

Please note that the following request types are NOT electronically submitted to the carrier:

  • Hierarchy (commission level) changes
  • EFT Payment account changes
  • Additional State Appointment requests

For these 3 request types processed through SureLC, you will still receive an email, and you should submit them to Brighthouse as you normally would (email, fax, snail mail, etc.).
